National Living Wage

The National Living Wage (NLW) is set to rise to £7.50 per hour from 1st April 2017 in line with Chancellor Philip Hammond’s Autumn Statement announcement in November.

The hourly rate for the National Living Wage and National Minimum Wage (NMW) is dependent upon your age and whether or not you are an apprentice.

  • If you are between school leaving age -24 years old you are subject to the NMW.
  • If you are 25 or over you are to receive at least the NLW.

Please see below the current rates and the rates from April 17;

*Apprentices are entitled to the apprentice rate if they’re aged under 19 or aged over 19 and in the first year of their apprenticeship.
